Counselling and guidance
The transition and skills support provided by the Public Transition Organisation includes free counselling and guidance from a personal adviser who will help you move on to a new job, studies or starting your own business.
What kind of counselling and guidance can you receive?
We have two different services for workers who have been laid off from their job and one service for those who are employed. The aim is to help get people who have lost their jobs back to work, and to ensure that those who are employed have an action plan for their future career.
Counselling if you have been laid off or are unemployed
If you have been laid off, our counselling can help you find a new job, start studying or start your own business.
- If you have been laid off
- You get a personal adviser for 6 or 12 months
- You have at least one meeting per month (in person or digitally) lasting about one hour
- You will get help with finding and applying for a new job, starting your studies, or starting your own business
Counselling with enhanced support if you have been laid off and have special needs
If you have been laid off from your job and you have an illness or disability, our enhanced support counselling service can provide you with additional help, for example in contact with the authorities.
