About us

The Public Transition Organisation helps people without a collective agreement to move forwards in their working life—to a new job, studies or starting their own business.

If you are employed or have been laid off, you can receive counselling or guidance from a personal adviser. We also issue formal opinions to CSN regarding student finance for transition and retraining, a service that also covers self-employed people.

The Public Transition Organisation provides Transition and skills support which includes the following services:

  • counselling for workers who have been laid off and temporary employees
  • counselling with enhanced support for laid-off workers with special needs due to illness
  • guidance for employees
  • formal opinion to CSN regarding student finance for transition and retraining for employees, workers who have been laid off, and self-employed people

The aim of the services is to achieve the desired result as soon as possible, in the form of a new job, studies or starting a business.

We hire professional advisers

We have high standards for the advisers we use. They are educated, have several years of experience working as advisers, and have good knowledge of the labour market and training and education opportunities for professionals.

We are also tasked with registering transition organisations and providing state compensation to employers that finance transition organisations.

Being a registered transition organisation is a prerequisite for being able to issue a formal opinion to CSN regarding transitional study support, as well as for their affiliated employers, companies and businesses to be able to receive compensation for the financing of transition and skills support.

A registered transition organisation must provide basic transition and skills support to its clients.

We are tasked with continuously collecting statistics and data from all transition organisations, so that an external actor can subsequently evaluate the reform over time.
